What do you guys consider when crafting a subject line? - postmaster - 01-18-2018

Trying to learn how to create eye catching subject lines that inbox. 
Any help would be appreciated.

I think to make sure I have the "Essential Elements" in mine.

Urgency - Communicate something that implies they need to read the email now.
Curiosity - Know your audience and try to peak their curiosity.
Personalization - Cater the subject line to what you know about the recipient.
Relevance - Subjects that are relevant to what the user signed up for.

How do you guys judge whether a subject line is good or not?

I go off open rates. Subject lines are gauges by open rates.

I second that. I judge by open rates. Click rates I use to judge the email body content.
